Carmine Avena

Carmine has been with SMARTER Team Training since April of 2015. Before heading to Towson University, Carmine studied Exercise Science at University of Massachusetts where he had played Division III Lacrosse as a defensive long pole for two years before transferring to Towson University. While at Towson University Carmine had interned under Coach Taylor at STT.

Coach Avena works with athletes of all ages and levels of competition – from middle school all the way to professional. He has trained NCAA, MLB, NFL, Olympic and Paralympic athletes, and even professional bodybuilders. In addition to training athletes and clients at STT, Carmine is a content contributor to all sponsors including Rogers Athletic, Pit Shark, Iron Grip, Thor Performance Products, Elite Form, RP Sports, VersaClimber, Lock-Jaws, and several more. He is heavily involved in planning, preparing for, and administering SMARTER Team Training professional development conferences all over the country.

Carmine is certified by The American College of Sports Medicine.
