This week on iTunes, iHeartRadio, Stitcher and Spreaker, STT interviews Anthony Glass. Coach Glass is the director of strength and conditioning for Olympic sports at Ohio State University. Glass oversees strength and conditioning efforts for all sports at Ohio State with the exception of football. He came to Ohio State after four years at the University of Georgia, where he directed all strength and conditioning efforts for 20 sports, with the exception of football, in the Bulldog athletics program. Prior to his tenure at Georgia, Glass spent one year in a similar position at Boston College. Prior to that he spent four years with the physical conditioning/strength and conditioning program at Northern Illinois, where he also earned an MS.Ed. degree. While at Northern Illinois, Glass authored the book Weight Training: A Step by Step Guide to the Development of a Safe and Sound Program. He has written a number of articles for major sport science journals and is a regular speaker at major conferences throughout the United States. Glass serves as the Ohio State director of the National Association of Speed and Explosion and is the former Ohio State director for the National Strength and Conditioning Association a position he held for six years. Glass is certified by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, the National Strength & Conditioning Association, the American College of Sports Medicine, the United States of America Weightlifting Organization and Dragon Door. Glass has been honored with the recognition of Master Strength and Conditioning Coach, the highest honor for a coach in the strength and conditioning field.
