Edward Grayer

Edward spent six total seasons with Rutgers football and four as Director of Speed Development from 2012-2015.

Edward earned a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education/Adult Fitness from Montclair State University where he was a four-year letterman in football. He was selected captain by his peers and earned All American honors while playing linebacker. He also lettered in track and field where he earned All-Conference in shot put and discus as a freshman.

After graduating Montclair State University he spent four years as a Performance Enhancement Specialist at the Parisi Speed School in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.

In 2007 he accepted a position at with the strength staff at The University of Louisville up until the summer of 2008. After leaving Louisville he accepted a position at Rutgers as Player Development. He assisted the offense and worked with the receivers for the 2008 and 2009 seasons.

For the 2010 and 2011 football seasons, Edward spent time as Head Strength Coach and Co-Defensive Coordinator at St Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While there he helped coach St Thomas Aquinas to a state and national championship under the tutelage of legendary coach George Smith.

His professional certifications include the NSCA’s Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), USA Weightlifting Certification Level 1 and Functional Movement Screening Level 1.
