This week on iTunes, Stitcher and Spreaker, STT interviews a coach who works at a program with countless All-Americans, National Champions and some of the best athletes in Division I. Chip Harrison is the Director of Strength and Fitness for Penn State University. He supports and oversees the strength and conditioning programs of the 28 men’s and women’s varsity teams. Hard work and accountability form the foundation of Chip’s philosophy. Chip also directs a number of recreational programs including the fitness centers and group exercise program, seeing over 1 million participant visits each year. He is responsible for nine training facilities on campus including two 15,000 sq. ft. centers. Additionally, Chip leads other facets of sports and recreation including 76 Club Sports, Team Sports, and Adventure Recreation.
