The VersaPulley has a patented rotating inertial flywheel for the resistance. When using this MV2 technology, the goal is to move the flywheel as fast as possible creating inertia, bring to a controlled stop and start again. A unique aspect of the VersaPulley is the lack of impact, placing less stress on joints and still providing a max inertial stretch-shortening stimulus to the muscle and nervous system.
The VersaPulley™ is an inertial flywheel-training device relied upon by many of the world’s top teams, universities, therapists, and trainers to prepare their athletes for the highest levels of competition. What differentiates the VersaPulley™ from its competitors is the ability to perform exercises in both a horizontal and vertical application. This allows its users to train at any load, at any speed, and in any plane within an infinite amount of exercise variation. Developing eccentric strength in multiple planes and at multiple loads allows for greater performance and injury prevention gains.

With the portability and lightweight design, the Portable VersaPulley also uses the patented MV2 resistance technology to provide responsive concentric and eccentric resistance for all multi directional sports. The Portable VersaPulley is a versatile strength exercise pulley machine that combines speed, power and functional mobility through any range of motion with accommodating inertial resistance at any speed.
The VersaRower has a patented resistance mechanism that automatically and instantaneously matches the pull force of the user from 4 pounds to 400 pounds in both the concentric and eccentric directions. Think of the VersaRower as a seated squat where the legs are loaded in conjunction with the arms, shoulders, back and abs.
Coach Taylor adds VersaPulley for versatility…
“Traditionally the mindset is weights are necessary for strength training, resistance of some time is needed for met con, etc. I was initially shocked by the versatility of the VersaPulley. So many angles to allow athletes to learn how to use their body and leverage to demonstrate power with the added benefit of having to also learn how to decelerate the load they just created. Being able to change, adapt, and adjust to different angles and exercises makes the VersaPulley a lot of fun to work with. Your creativity is your own limiting factor when you add this to your program.” – Rob Taylor, Jr., Founder and Owner of SMARTER Team Training
Alex keeps it creative with…
“The VersaPulley is not only an effective piece of training equipment, it is also incredibly versatile as well as portable and easy to use. Because of its deceleration technology, the VersaPulley allows the individual using it to determine the load of every repetition. The machine will only ever exert as much force in the eccentric motion as the user exerts in the concentric. I love using this device for weak link exercises such as IYTW to train the upper back, posterior shoulder and rotator cuff. Traditional training methods such as weights or manual resistance are a good option for training these areas of the body; however, the VersaPulley allows the athlete or client to regulate the resistance and not exert unnecessary force on areas of the body that can be delicate and easily injured.” – Alex Walsh, Performance Coach
Let’s get creative with angles and vectors…
“The versapulley has allowed me to really get creative with my exercise list to change up how we train certain movements. Due to its deceleration technology the VersaPulley allows the individual using it to determine the load of every repetition. The machine will only ever exert as much force in the eccentric motion as the user exerts in the concentric. Core exercises such as chops and lifts require a high level of stabilization during the eccentric phase of the exercise. I also like using them for bicep and tricep exercises as end of workout finisher circuits.” – Ade Parkes, Performance Coach
